Idea 1 - Lucky 26
 Synopsis: A man is pinching money from his ex-girlfriend to fund
his gambling addiction.
 Breaks fourth wall (?)
 Speaks to camera about life problems and girlfriend
 Journey: Denotatively - Journey to the house he breaks into;
connotatively it is an emotional journey as the audience follows this
character's guilt and poignancy.
 Climax – He realises he still loves this girl and he is actually addicted
to her presence, seen through mise en scene of old photos etc
 Ending – Leaves without robbing from her/gets caught – peak of
climax through emotional dialogue
 Not using generic story development/arc
Idea 2 ('Judge, Jury,
Executioner')
 3 People on the phone
 3 Locations
 One situation all happening to these characters in real time (5
Minutes)
 Each characters show different emotions, all sequences cut
amongst each other - Heavy focus on dialogue
 Audience is unaware which character is talking to who
 Journey: Characters end up on opposite emotional spectrum than
the beginning
 Title is a metaphor for the characters roles within the short
Idea 3 – Robin Holmes
 2 burglars meet in the same home
 Comedic conversations between
burglars
 Light turns on – homeowner comes
downstairs
 Possibility for comedy and/or intense
drama
