Trailer
 Shot types: Ariel shot, close ups, over the shoulder, long
shot, high angles and low angles, two shot and canted
    angle.
 Sound: score starts off mysterious and then gets faster
and more tension building. Non-diegetic sound of a gate
slamming shut. Diegetic sound of glass smashing.
 Colour: bright then changes to darker colours.
 Storyline: woman has to makes a decision on whether or
not she should give an old women an extension on her
bills. The women says no and than older women begs
her to say yes but the women still says no which make
the old women angry. After work the woman is going to
her car and the old women tries to kill her but puts a
curse on her instead. After this the strange things
    happen to the women.
 Transitions: some fade to blacks and lots of short takes.
 In this trailer they show the woman wanting to get a
promotion but the boss says she doesn’t make many
hard decisions, so when the old women is asking for
help or she will lose the house the women thinks that if
she says no she will get the promotion but by saying
no to the old women is a bad decision that she will
make, they shown this because it makes you feel sorry
for both women. We also she the old lady putting a
curse on the women this makes you want to watch the
film because you want to see what will happen to her
now that she is cursed. The transitions used in the
trailer build tension because they are fast. They use an
non diegetic sound of a gate slamming shut, this
makes the watcher jump because it is loud and
unexpected. We can tell this is a horror/thriller because
it uses the stereotypical music used in them trailers
and it build tension by using loud noises and lots of
    short takes.
Poster
 Angles: It is a mid-shot of a women looking
    like she’s screaming.
 Layout: The tagline is above the title of the film
and underneath that there is some smaller
writing which says the film companies, actors
and the directors name. The main part of the
poster is at the top of the page which is of a
girl screaming and looking like she is being
pulling down to the fire at the bottom of the
poster by some hand that doesn’t look human.
 Tagline: “Christine Brown has a good job, a
great boyfriend, and a bright future. But in
three days, she’s going to hell.”
 From the poster we can tell it is a
horror/thriller film because of the colours
used .e.g. Red, black and grey. We can
tell that it is that genre because it has
the women screams and looking like she
is being pulls down into the fire which
makes you want to see the film to find
out why she is being pulled down into
the fire. I like the colours on this poster
and the image so when I am doing my
poster I will think about using these
    conventions.

Drag me to hell
