3. The Purpose
Bouncing Back from sport injuries online radio show will speak to athletes in and out of the “game” who have been affected psychologically from injuries and making transitions to the “game” of business and other careers.
Mission
Bouncing Back with Dr. V’s online radio show will present inspiring sports interviews from college athletes, amateur, professional, Olympic athletes, coaches, athletic directors, sports psychologist, orthopedic and sport medicine doctors, physical therapists, athletic trainers, athletic organizations, parents, and retired athletes who have learned to cope and overcome their injuries and are making successful transitions from sports and sport injuries. The interviews will also highlight the achievement of those who are making positive contributions in their communities.
Vision
“Nothing is more disconcerting than not sure what to do next”. The interviews will also appeal to those athletes who have not made smooth transitions and are learning how to cope and bounce back from their injuries.
Bouncing Back with Dr. V will work timelessly to discover new stories that may go unnoticed and present them on the show informatively, sensitively, and we will also present some delightful human interest stories of triumph and humanity in an easy listening comfortable and engaging style:
The goal of “Bouncing Back” is to target significantly more listeners than existing online sport shows by interviewing ignored champions who are bouncing back and making a difference, current and retired sport figures, as well as those who engage in leisure-time physical activity, which will substantially broaden the base of listeners and offer more exposure to potential customers and clients. On the online radio show, we believe the world will really begin to see champions who played on the field and recovered from rehabilitation by coping with their injuries and have learned how to restart and rebuild their lives and are making a difference in their communities, regardless of adversity. Casual sport fans and team specific die-hards will also find “BouncingBack with Dr. V’s online radio show” beneficial and inspiring.
