at the World Poetry Day Celebration at World Peace Centre, Chemmencherry,
Chennai.
2. India Inter-Continental Cultural Association, Chandigarh conferred on him Kafla
Inter-continental Award of Honour SAHITYA SHIROMANI in recognition of his
contribution in the field of literature at the 10th International Writers' Festival at
Trivandrum (Kerala) on 28th December 2014.

National Seminars Conducted
1. Conducted UGC sponsored National Seminar on the topic “The Genre of Indian English
Short Story: Problems, Challenges and Opportunities” on 24th and 25th of September 2010
at Newman College, Thodupuzha, Kerala. There were thirteen Resource Persons of which
eleven were writers cum professors from outside Kerala.
2. Conducted Two-day National Level English Poetry Festival at St. Teresa’s College
Ernakulam, Kerala on 17th and 18th September 2011. Former Justice of the Supreme Court,
V. R. Krishna Iyer was the chief guest.
3. Conducted Two-day literary festival on Contemporary Indian Literature in English
including poetry reading and workshop on research methodology at K J Somaiya College of
Arts and Commerce, Mumbai on 30 November and 1 December 2012. Arundhati
Subramaniam was the Chief Guest.
4. Conducted two day national literary festival on the topic “Indian Literatures in English:
New Directions, Newer Possibilities” on 20th and 21st March 2014 in Pondicherry Central
University in collaboration with the Department of English, Pondicherry University. The
festival included paper presentations and poetry reading. Legends of Indian Literature,
Jayanta Mahapatra and Ashokamitran were the distinguished writer participants.

Study on K. V. Dominic’s Poetry from USA
An edited book on K. V. Dominic’s poetry, consisting of 25 critical papers, an interview and
some of his famous poems has been under print in the American publishing house, Modern
History Press under the title Philosophical Musings for Meaningful Life: An Analysis of K. V.
Dominic’s Poems. The book is edited by Dr. S. Kumaran of Chennai and is expected to be
released by the end of January 2016.
INTERVIEW WITH K. V. DOMINIC
K. V. Dominic has been interviewed by the renowned Italian Professor and Writer, Prof.
Elisabetta Marino, and it appeared in the reputed Italian journal MOSAICO VIII.109 (February
2012) which has wide circulation in Italy and Brazil. Its English translation appeared in the
international refereed quarterly journal, Labyrinth 4.2 (April 2012) from Gwalior, India.
K. V. Dominic as Secretary of Guild of Indian English Writers
Editors and Critics (GIEWEC)
A literary forum of Indian writers in English, entitled Guild of Indian English Writers, Editors
and Critics (GIEWEC) was established on 24 September 2010 at Thodupuzha, Kerala, India. It
was registered on 13 October 2010 and its Head Office is functioning at the residence of the
Secretary at Thodupuzha. GIEWEC is a non-profit-making institution aimed at promoting Indian
literature in English through the members’ creative and critical writings and by editing and
publishing books and journals. The chief objectives of the Guild are: to promote Indian
Literature in English, to exchange creative writings between nations, to conduct annual
conferences and literary festivals, and to help Ph.D. scholars. The Guild is publishing an

international biannual refereed journal entitled Writers Editors Critics (ISSN 2231-198X). The
issues come out in March and September. GIEWEC is fast growing with more than 250 members
now of which 86 are life members. Professors and Lecturers of universities/colleges, professional
English writers and PhD research scholars are its members.

There were thirteen Resource Persons of which eleven were writers cum professors from outside Kerala. 2. Conducted Two-day National Level English Poetry Festival at St. Teresa’s College Ernakulam, Kerala on 17th and 18th September 2011. Former Justice of the Supreme Court, V. R. Krishna Iyer was the chief guest. 3. Conducted Two-day literary festival on Contemporary Indian Literature in English including poetry reading and workshop on research methodology at K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce, Mumbai on 30 November and 1 December 2012. Arundhati Subramaniam was the Chief Guest. 4. Conducted two day national literary festival on the topic “Indian Literatures in English: New Directions, Newer Possibilities” on 20th and 21st March 2014 in Pondicherry Central University in collaboration with the Department of English, Pondicherry University. Dominic has been interviewed by the renowned Italian Professor and Writer, Prof. Elisabetta Marino, and it appeared in the reputed Italian journal MOSAICO VIII.109 (February 2012) which has wide circulation in Italy and Brazil. Its English translation appeared in the international refereed quarterly journal, Labyrinth 4.2 (April 2012) from Gwalior, India. K. V. Dominic as Secretary of Guild of Indian English Writers Editors and Critics (GIEWEC) A literary forum of Indian writers in English, entitled Guild of Indian English Writers, Editors and Critics (GIEWEC) was established on 24 September 2010 at Thodupuzha, Kerala, India. It was registered on 13 October 2010 and its Head Office is functioning at the residence of the Secretary at Thodupuzha. GIEWEC is a non-profit-making institution aimed at promoting Indian literature in English through the members’ creative and critical writings and by editing and publishing books and journals. The chief objectives of the Guild are: to promote Indian Literature in English, to exchange creative writings between nations, to conduct annual conferences and literary festivals, and to help Ph.D. scholars. The Guild is publishing an

GIEWEC is fast growing with more than 250 members now of which 86 are life members.
