 In this ERDF-funded project, SLUB Dresden and UB Leipzig
collaborate with Avantgarde Labs and the Research Group AKSW
at the Leipzig Institute for Applied Informatics (InfAI)
 Project goal: Development of a tool for the integration and
management of library data and high-quality data from the web
and its publication in the Linked Open Data Cloud.
 Project part 1 (SLUB Dresden, Avantgarde Labs): Data
Management Platform (DMP)
 Project part 2 (UB Leipzig, AKSW): Linked-Data-based Electronic
Resource Management (ERM)
 Funding volume: € 1.5 Mio

What is the Data Management Platform (DMP)?

 The DMP is an Open Source data modeling tool with a graphical
and easy-to-use interface that poses no obstacles to non-
programming librarians
 The DMP achieves the lossless integration of data from
heterogeneous data sources in a flexible, elastic, graph-based
data model.
 The DMP is a middleware solution that goes in between existing
data management systems and presentation frontends, being
able to take care of all management processes executed on
library data.
 The DMP increases the quality of library data by way of
deduplication, merging, FRBRization, semantic enrichment and
its publication as LOD.
