Discussion 1
This week, of course, offered effective insight into the
behaviour of a customer that shows a significant impact on the
performance of a firm and the sustainability of a business. The
marketing framework includes key elements such as 5Cs, STP,
and 4Ps. The 5Cs of a firm include key elements such as
customer, context, collaborators, company, and competitors,
STP includes the elements like segmentation, targeting and
positioning and 4Ps includes the elements like product, price,
promotion and place (Iacobucci, 2018). The factors that
influence the behaviour of a customer include the phases
through which consumers go to purchase the products, types of
consumer purchases, perceive and sense and attitudes of
customers to make decisions, culture diversity that influences
the perceptions of staff towards the products. The course also
offered insight into the three phases of a purchasing process
such as pre-purchase, purchase, and post-purchase. Each phase
of a purchase process offers effective insight into the customer
needs, solutions, develops effective consideration set and
narrows it, determine effective channel, determines the
satisfaction of customers, likelihood, and word of mouth. It is
understood that business processes such as B2B and B2C use
the buying process for buying the products. The course of this
week also offered significant insight into various types of
consumer purchases like convenience purchases, shopping, and
special purchases. In the convenience purchase, the involvement
of consumers is less and they do not invest a lot of time into
making a plan to purchase the product. Shopping purchases
involve the customer’s medium and make them invest medium
time to purchase the products. Specialty purchases involve the
customers highly and makes customers put much effort into
making the products. There are three types of business
purchases such as new buy, modified by, and straight buy. It
also offered effective insight into classical conditioning and
operant conditioning that helps the businesses to advertise the
products and sell products effectively. It also included
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, motivation, attitudes of customers
and decision-making like beliefs, importance, and choices made
by the consumers to compare a variety of brands to develop
effective decision through various stages and socio-cultural
differences that show a significant impact on the perceptions of
customers and decisions creating by them. Among the various
concepts, the key concepts that are most important to me
include customer behaviour, phases of a buying process,
decision making, and types of business purchases. The main
reason for considering these concepts is important to me is that
they help me to understand the behaviour of customers,
understand its impact on the purchases of a firm's products and
know the benefits of various types of business purchases. This
helps me to develop effective decisions and achieve success in
the business when I established a firm and grow professionally.

Discussion 2
In the current competitive business world, we can see that some
businesses are highly successful while some are a failure. The
success of the business depends upon several factors like
customer satisfaction, leadership, etc. For any business,
customers are the primary resources and a great asset. If the
customers are not satisfied or lose trust, then the business is
certain to fail. There are several instances where, due to
dissatisfied customers or failing to analyze customer behavior
resulted in a great loss to the organizations. A good instance is
how the new coke project drastically failed as the company
failed to analyze customer behavior. Here we can observe that
the company wants to enhance its coke taste and offer quality
drink and, in the process, disregarding the customer behavior
that resulted in a great loss to the company. In the end, they
again replaced the new coke with the old coke promoting as the
classic coke is back. Hence, customer behavior is one of the
critical factors that play a key role in the success of the
business. With the changing trends, the customer's tastes and
preferences are also changing. Organizations need to constantly
update themselves with the changing behavior of the customers
to succeed in the business (Kailash & Srivastatva, 2010).
Customer Problem
Today in this highly competitive era, starting and running a
business is not an easy thing as novel problems and issues are
encountered at every phase of the business. They must be dealt
with then and there to run the business successfully. We can
also observe a trend where to start a new business; the
individuals are launching the new business to address the
existing issues in the industry. For instance, consider how
customers faced issues with the restaurants for delivering the
food. Zomato, Swiggy, etc. are the companies that addressed the
food delivery issues of the customers and are very successful
today in the food delivery industry. They immediately used the
issue as a new business idea. This is because customers call the
restaurants several times to know where the delivery boy is and
how much time it will take the delivery man to deliver the
order. But with Swiggy and Zomato, we can see how the
customers can easily track the order, thus satisfying the
customers with their needs (Melika, Slavo, & Muris, 2012).
In the same way, I want to enter into the clothing industry. At
present, I observed that the fashion industry is changing day by
day. The trend changes quickly, and customers want to stay in-
line with the new trends in the fashion industry, but they do not
know how. I will use this customer issue to start my new cloth
business, where I will update with the current trends in the
fashion industry using technological advancements like social
media and following the famous fashion designers will help me
to attract the customers and can earn good profits. Hence, I
want to enter into the clothing industry, and I will make the
changes like having a team to constantly update me with the
current trends in fashion so that I will purchase and sell the
trending items, thus attracting more customers to my store
(Melika, Slavo, & Muris, 2012).
Taste Test
Today the companies before launching a new product their R&D
team does vigorous research on various issues like taste tests if
the food & beverage industry, customer behavior, tastes, and
preferences, etc. before releasing a product into the market to
ensure the success of the product. But sometimes we can
observe that even after thorough research, the products fail to
attract and satisfy the customer's expectations. This is because
sometimes the research also depends on the type of participants
and their level of knowledge. For instance, it is a well-known
fact that tap water is safer and pure than the bottled water and
tap water is way cheaper than the bottled water. Also, much of
the bottled water comes from the taps. Now if the company
wants to do the research on the taste test it will test on a wide
range of participants like form children to aged people and the
tastes and preferences may vary according to the types of
participants and their knowledge (Melika, Slavo, & Muris,
2012).

I Do, We Do, You Do Template
Part 1: I Do, We Do, You Do Observation
Describe the literacy standards-based concept that was
introduced.
Direct Instruction
I DO
Guided Practice
WE DO
Independent Work
YOU DO
Materials/Resources
The teacher introduced a literacy concept by teaching the
students on her own. First, she explained the basic concepts of
the math class where she identified the major concepts and
ideas in the topic. Second, she used some working examples to
provide the students with an understanding of the topic
The teacher gradually dispensed responsibility to the students
by giving them simple examples to work on. The most
beneficial tactic she used was faded examples where the
students had to fill in some missing sections of these examples.
Group work was also used as the students solved these examples
along with the teacher.
This section involved the students thinking for themselves and
recalling what the teacher had taught. The teacher allowed the
students to answer practice questions where they were required
to complete all the questions on their own.
The materials used in the ‘I do’ phase were concept diagrams
which aided the teacher in delivering her topic. Group work saw
the use and sharing of teaching material among the students as
they solved the faded examples given.
What differentiation was applied during the lesson to
accommodate students?
The teacher incorporated the slow learner students by retaking
the I do, We do, You do the technique. For the students who had
trouble retrieving from their memory the teacher helped them
solve their examples and later issued them with new examples.
What were the gaps identified during the lesson observation?
The main issue I noticed while observing was the lack of
synchronization between some of the learning phases. The
students tended to attempt the You do phase on their own before
the teacher allocated them their categories.
Part 2: Teacher Collaboration Notes
The most efficient teaching concept the teacher identified was
the use of concept diagrams, Venn diagrams, and cause-effect
diagrams. The teacher found these to be effective in delivering
procedural concepts during their class.
The teacher’s model mainly incorporated guided practice. At the
onset of the lesson the teacher guides the students through the
new concepts in the topic, in the We do phase she allows the
students to perform the examples using her help. She also
assists the slow learner students in you do phase by helping
them solve their examples and giving them new examples.
The teacher uses group work discussion to improve the
children’s retrieval skills and interaction. This is a very
efficient method because the students assist each other hence
increasing their knowledge in the process.
Students who are unable to correctly understand and solve the
examples given to them by the teacher are identified and a
different teaching strategy is used on them. The teacher also
goes through the I do, we do, you do process with them for a
second time allowing the students to catch up.
The teachers assess the student's understanding by asking them
questions during the class. The teacher also revisits previously
taught classes to test the student's retrieval capabilities and
efficiency.
The atypical students in the class are allowed more time to go
through the IWD technique. Extra lessons are also allowed for
these students allowing them to catch up with the rest of the
class.
The largest gap is in the introduction of the topic and the I do
phase. The delivery of the concept at this phase is complex and
difficult because the students tend to have a low rate of
concentration. Most students do not understand until the second
round of teaching. This is why I use conceptual diagrams to
assist the students.
This teaching model is quite effective for most of the students.
This can easily be reflected on how the students perform during
their exams. I would advise other teachers to try this method of
introducing new literacy concepts.
By coordinating with other teachers on the various professional
strategies they use, I am easily able to adjust my teaching
method to accommodate and mitigate any instructional
deficiencies I might have.
Part 3: Reflection
The I do, We do, You do literacy teaching technique is one of
the best teaching strategies to use on students. This strategy has
helped me during my learning years. I find that this teaching
technique allows the teacher to completely integrate and
synchronize with his or her students. The literacy delivery
method can be used in a reading class by the teacher by reading
the book out loud to the students. This will greatly assist the
students to pick up on the proper reading skills they should
understand. A reflection on the I do the technique, the teacher
should aim at delivering the maximum amount of information to
the students. In the phase, the students must be allowed to ask
questions where they do not understand, preferably after the
lesson or topic is completely introduced. This will prevent the
interruption of the teaching sequence in which other students
may be indulged in. The teacher using concept diagrams is an
efficient method that aided the sequential flow of ideas. The
students positively responded to this mode of literacy delivery.
We do the phase of the technique the teacher used group works.
The students were able to disseminate their ideas to each other.
I found that this allowed the students to tone and finesse their
skills with prolific eloquence. The teacher used faded examples
which she assisted the students to solve. Finally, You do
technique saw the students practicing on their own. The teacher
can pick up on how much was delivered on the new literacy.
This gauging allowed the teacher to identify the ideas that
needed to be revisited in this technique. This finding on this
technique is a great tool that I will use in future professional
practice and teaching strategies. The illuminating experience
and interaction with the teacher and students allowed me to
view the pros and cons of the technique from a third-eye
perspective. The use of concept diagrams can be good
incorporation into my future teaching strategies. This is a great
way to deliver procedural concepts that may be confusing to
students when delivered by word of mouth. Additionally, faded
examples are a great way to assist the students to retrieve their
solutions from previously taught topics. The technique aids
them to easily recall these concepts. The I do, We do, You do
technique should be used consecutively which will also help the
teacher tone their delivery skills.

Phonics and Word Recognition: I Do, We Do, You Do
Part 1: Phonics and Word Recognition: I Do, We Do, You Do
Chart
Phonics/Word Recognition Concept
Describe your chosen phonics/word recognition concept and
aligning standards.
The concept that has been selected in this case is decoding
words with multisyllables.
I DO
Describe the direct instruction that you will use to teach your
phonics and word recognition concept.
WE DO
Describe how you will work together to help your students to
reach the learning task.
YOU DO
Describe the independent work the students will do based on the
concept you taught.
Students will be asked to repetitively read the chart.
I will initiate discussions and engagements in the classroom to
help students reach their learning tasks.
Students will be asked to provide examples of You Do to make
sure that they understand.
Differentiation
Describe differentiation strategies to utilize with the students
chosen by your mentor teacher.
The strategy that will be used in this case is to design learning
lessons that fit the needs of multiple students.
Assessment
Describe an informal assessment that will help to monitor the
effectiveness of the activity.
An observation will be made to assess if the students are
grasping the relevant knowledge or not.
Part 2: Lesson Reflection
The findings will be important in my future career because they
will provide information on different areas. The first area
focuses on all students. In this case, it will be easier to know if
the lesson is appropriate for the students. A teacher has a role to
promote the learning process of a student (Durwin & Moore,
2019). When a lesson proves to be easy, it is important to make
it a bit complex to ensure that it challenges the mind of the
student and at the same time, it helps the student to know. When
the lesson is too complex, it means that the students will have a
hard time understanding. It is for this reason why it is
paramount to make sure that one gets to know more about how
students respond to the lessons. The information will help me in
the process of drafting lessons. I will be able to know the best
approach to take to ensure that my teaching methods and
strategies (Jennings, Moran, Knupp, Dwyer, & Hong, 2017).
The findings will also help me to know the methods that work
effectively in a diverse population. One of the tasks that have
been provided is to design strategies that are aligned to the
needs of students (Kim, 2018). In this case, it means that even
the special students ought to be factored in. Based on the
findings, it will be easier to know if the differentiation
strategies worked or not. In case the strategies work, I will
know that they are effective and in the future, I will not shy
away from applying them.

Discussion 1This week, of course, offered effective insight .docx

  • 1. Discussion 1 This week, of course, offered effective insight into the behaviour of a customer that shows a significant impact on the performance of a firm and the sustainability of a business. The marketing framework includes key elements such as 5Cs, STP, and 4Ps. The 5Cs of a firm include key elements such as customer, context, collaborators, company, and competitors, STP includes the elements like segmentation, targeting and positioning and 4Ps includes the elements like product, price, promotion and place (Iacobucci, 2018). The factors that influence the behaviour of a customer include the phases through which consumers go to purchase the products, types of consumer purchases, perceive and sense and attitudes of customers to make decisions, culture diversity that influences the perceptions of staff towards the products. The course also offered insight into the three phases of a purchasing process such as pre-purchase, purchase, and post-purchase. Each phase of a purchase process offers effective insight into the customer needs, solutions, develops effective consideration set and narrows it, determine effective channel, determines the satisfaction of customers, likelihood, and word of mouth. It is understood that business processes such as B2B and B2C use the buying process for buying the products. The course of this week also offered significant insight into various types of consumer purchases like convenience purchases, shopping, and special purchases. In the convenience purchase, the involvement of consumers is less and they do not invest a lot of time into making a plan to purchase the product. Shopping purchases involve the customer’s medium and make them invest medium time to purchase the products. Specialty purchases involve the customers highly and makes customers put much effort into making the products. There are three types of business
  • 2. purchases such as new buy, modified by, and straight buy. It also offered effective insight into classical conditioning and operant conditioning that helps the businesses to advertise the products and sell products effectively. It also included Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, motivation, attitudes of customers and decision-making like beliefs, importance, and choices made by the consumers to compare a variety of brands to develop effective decision through various stages and socio-cultural differences that show a significant impact on the perceptions of customers and decisions creating by them. Among the various concepts, the key concepts that are most important to me include customer behaviour, phases of a buying process, decision making, and types of business purchases. The main reason for considering these concepts is important to me is that they help me to understand the behaviour of customers, understand its impact on the purchases of a firm's products and know the benefits of various types of business purchases. This helps me to develop effective decisions and achieve success in the business when I established a firm and grow professionally. References: Iacobucci, D. (2018). Management. Cengage learning. Discussion 2 In the current competitive business world, we can see that some businesses are highly successful while some are a failure. The
  • 3. success of the business depends upon several factors like customer satisfaction, leadership, etc. For any business, customers are the primary resources and a great asset. If the customers are not satisfied or lose trust, then the business is certain to fail. There are several instances where, due to dissatisfied customers or failing to analyze customer behavior resulted in a great loss to the organizations. A good instance is how the new coke project drastically failed as the company failed to analyze customer behavior. Here we can observe that the company wants to enhance its coke taste and offer quality drink and, in the process, disregarding the customer behavior that resulted in a great loss to the company. In the end, they again replaced the new coke with the old coke promoting as the classic coke is back. Hence, customer behavior is one of the critical factors that play a key role in the success of the business. With the changing trends, the customer's tastes and preferences are also changing. Organizations need to constantly update themselves with the changing behavior of the customers to succeed in the business (Kailash & Srivastatva, 2010). Customer Problem Today in this highly competitive era, starting and running a business is not an easy thing as novel problems and issues are encountered at every phase of the business. They must be dealt with then and there to run the business successfully. We can also observe a trend where to start a new business; the individuals are launching the new business to address the existing issues in the industry. For instance, consider how customers faced issues with the restaurants for delivering the food. Zomato, Swiggy, etc. are the companies that addressed the food delivery issues of the customers and are very successful today in the food delivery industry. They immediately used the issue as a new business idea. This is because customers call the restaurants several times to know where the delivery boy is and how much time it will take the delivery man to deliver the order. But with Swiggy and Zomato, we can see how the customers can easily track the order, thus satisfying the
  • 4. customers with their needs (Melika, Slavo, & Muris, 2012). In the same way, I want to enter into the clothing industry. At present, I observed that the fashion industry is changing day by day. The trend changes quickly, and customers want to stay in- line with the new trends in the fashion industry, but they do not know how. I will use this customer issue to start my new cloth business, where I will update with the current trends in the fashion industry using technological advancements like social media and following the famous fashion designers will help me to attract the customers and can earn good profits. Hence, I want to enter into the clothing industry, and I will make the changes like having a team to constantly update me with the current trends in fashion so that I will purchase and sell the trending items, thus attracting more customers to my store (Melika, Slavo, & Muris, 2012). Taste Test Today the companies before launching a new product their R&D team does vigorous research on various issues like taste tests if the food & beverage industry, customer behavior, tastes, and preferences, etc. before releasing a product into the market to ensure the success of the product. But sometimes we can observe that even after thorough research, the products fail to attract and satisfy the customer's expectations. This is because sometimes the research also depends on the type of participants and their level of knowledge. For instance, it is a well-known fact that tap water is safer and pure than the bottled water and tap water is way cheaper than the bottled water. Also, much of the bottled water comes from the taps. Now if the company wants to do the research on the taste test it will test on a wide range of participants like form children to aged people and the tastes and preferences may vary according to the types of participants and their knowledge (Melika, Slavo, & Muris, 2012). Direct Instruction I DO Guided Practice WE DO Independent Work YOU DO Materials/Resources The teacher introduced a literacy concept by teaching the students on her own. First, she explained the basic concepts of the math class where she identified the major concepts and ideas in the topic. Second, she used some working examples to provide the students with an understanding of the topic The teacher gradually dispensed responsibility to the students by giving them simple examples to work on. The most
  • 6. beneficial tactic she used was faded examples where the students had to fill in some missing sections of these examples. Group work was also used as the students solved these examples along with the teacher. This section involved the students thinking for themselves and recalling what the teacher had taught. The teacher allowed the students to answer practice questions where they were required to complete all the questions on their own. The materials used in the ‘I do’ phase were concept diagrams which aided the teacher in delivering her topic. Group work saw the use and sharing of teaching material among the students as they solved the faded examples given. What differentiation was applied during the lesson to accommodate students? The teacher incorporated the slow learner students by retaking the I do, We do, You do the technique. For the students who had trouble retrieving from their memory the teacher helped them solve their examples and later issued them with new examples. What were the gaps identified during the lesson observation? The main issue I noticed while observing was the lack of synchronization between some of the learning phases. The students tended to attempt the You do phase on their own before the teacher allocated them their categories. Part 2: Teacher Collaboration Notes The most efficient teaching concept the teacher identified was the use of concept diagrams, Venn diagrams, and cause-effect diagrams. The teacher found these to be effective in delivering procedural concepts during their class. The teacher’s model mainly incorporated guided practice. At the onset of the lesson the teacher guides the students through the new concepts in the topic, in the We do phase she allows the students to perform the examples using her help. She also assists the slow learner students in you do phase by helping them solve their examples and giving them new examples. The teacher uses group work discussion to improve the children’s retrieval skills and interaction. This is a very
  • 7. efficient method because the students assist each other hence increasing their knowledge in the process. Students who are unable to correctly understand and solve the examples given to them by the teacher are identified and a different teaching strategy is used on them. The teacher also goes through the I do, we do, you do process with them for a second time allowing the students to catch up. The teachers assess the student's understanding by asking them questions during the class. The teacher also revisits previously taught classes to test the student's retrieval capabilities and efficiency. The atypical students in the class are allowed more time to go through the IWD technique. Extra lessons are also allowed for these students allowing them to catch up with the rest of the class. The largest gap is in the introduction of the topic and the I do phase. The delivery of the concept at this phase is complex and difficult because the students tend to have a low rate of concentration. Most students do not understand until the second round of teaching. This is why I use conceptual diagrams to assist the students. This teaching model is quite effective for most of the students. This can easily be reflected on how the students perform during their exams. I would advise other teachers to try this method of introducing new literacy concepts. By coordinating with other teachers on the various professional strategies they use, I am easily able to adjust my teaching method to accommodate and mitigate any instructional deficiencies I might have. Part 3: Reflection The I do, We do, You do literacy teaching technique is one of the best teaching strategies to use on students. This strategy has helped me during my learning years. I find that this teaching technique allows the teacher to completely integrate and synchronize with his or her students. The literacy delivery method can be used in a reading class by the teacher by reading
  • 8. the book out loud to the students. This will greatly assist the students to pick up on the proper reading skills they should understand. A reflection on the I do the technique, the teacher should aim at delivering the maximum amount of information to the students. In the phase, the students must be allowed to ask questions where they do not understand, preferably after the lesson or topic is completely introduced. This will prevent the interruption of the teaching sequence in which other students may be indulged in. The teacher using concept diagrams is an efficient method that aided the sequential flow of ideas. The students positively responded to this mode of literacy delivery. We do the phase of the technique the teacher used group works. The students were able to disseminate their ideas to each other. I found that this allowed the students to tone and finesse their skills with prolific eloquence. The teacher used faded examples which she assisted the students to solve. Finally, You do technique saw the students practicing on their own. The teacher can pick up on how much was delivered on the new literacy. This gauging allowed the teacher to identify the ideas that needed to be revisited in this technique. This finding on this technique is a great tool that I will use in future professional practice and teaching strategies. The illuminating experience and interaction with the teacher and students allowed me to view the pros and cons of the technique from a third-eye perspective. The use of concept diagrams can be good incorporation into my future teaching strategies. This is a great way to deliver procedural concepts that may be confusing to students when delivered by word of mouth. Additionally, faded examples are a great way to assist the students to retrieve their solutions from previously taught topics. The technique aids them to easily recall these concepts. The I do, We do, You do technique should be used consecutively which will also help the teacher tone their delivery skills. © 2017 Grand Canyon University. All Rights Reserved
  • 9. Phonics and Word Recognition: I Do, We Do, You Do Part 1: Phonics and Word Recognition: I Do, We Do, You Do Chart Phonics/Word Recognition Concept Describe your chosen phonics/word recognition concept and aligning standards. The concept that has been selected in this case is decoding words with multisyllables. I DO Describe the direct instruction that you will use to teach your phonics and word recognition concept. WE DO Describe how you will work together to help your students to reach the learning task. YOU DO Describe the independent work the students will do based on the concept you taught. Students will be asked to repetitively read the chart. I will initiate discussions and engagements in the classroom to help students reach their learning tasks. Students will be asked to provide examples of You Do to make sure that they understand. Differentiation Describe differentiation strategies to utilize with the students chosen by your mentor teacher. The strategy that will be used in this case is to design learning lessons that fit the needs of multiple students. Assessment
  • 10. Describe an informal assessment that will help to monitor the effectiveness of the activity. An observation will be made to assess if the students are grasping the relevant knowledge or not. Part 2: Lesson Reflection The findings will be important in my future career because they will provide information on different areas. The first area focuses on all students. In this case, it will be easier to know if the lesson is appropriate for the students. A teacher has a role to promote the learning process of a student (Durwin & Moore, 2019). When a lesson proves to be easy, it is important to make it a bit complex to ensure that it challenges the mind of the student and at the same time, it helps the student to know. When the lesson is too complex, it means that the students will have a hard time understanding. It is for this reason why it is paramount to make sure that one gets to know more about how students respond to the lessons. The information will help me in the process of drafting lessons. I will be able to know the best approach to take to ensure that my teaching methods and strategies (Jennings, Moran, Knupp, Dwyer, & Hong, 2017). The findings will also help me to know the methods that work effectively in a diverse population. One of the tasks that have been provided is to design strategies that are aligned to the needs of students (Kim, 2018). In this case, it means that even the special students ought to be factored in. Based on the findings, it will be easier to know if the differentiation strategies worked or not. In case the strategies work, I will know that they are effective and in the future, I will not shy away from applying them. References Durwin, C. C., & Moore, D. (2019).
