The document discusses the concept of "Agnostic Agile", which refers to an adaptive approach to agility according to context rather than prescription to a particular framework. It outlines 12 principles of Agnostic Agile, including tailoring agility to context, acknowledging constraints, continuous improvement, and recognizing that dogmatism is non-agile. The speaker describes his experience with different agile roles and how he discovered Agnostic Agile, which aims to share knowledge and adapt practices rather than promote a single framework.

Since the introduction of Agile, a lot of companies have tried to impose the same framework at a big scale without suiting the framework to customer context and to a wider strategic vision. Agile has never been about frameworks or locking your customers into one way of doing things.
I will show examples of bad Agile practices and why the Agnostic Agile Oath is needed – One size does not fit all! I will introduce the Agnostic Agile Oath, it’s creators, and the reasons it was created. I will then review the twelve agreements of the oath citing real life examples for each. Agile is not the final goal, it is only the mean to reach the real goal.
The concept of Technical Debt is always different when you ask a developer or a sponsor. Why is it that complicated to understand for the sponsors? Why do developers struggle to explain it? I’m sharing my failed and successful attempts with Technical Debt in three different countries and different contexts. Each time I was on a different role and my perspective was different, but in every case, I needed to deal with technical debt.
Agenda of the talk:
What’s technical debt?
What does the developer mean with technical debt?
What does the sponsor understand with technical debt?
I tried, but I failed: several examples trying to add technical debt to the backlog and why I think I failed
We tried, and it worked! Some examples of success stories adding technical debt to the backlog.
Key factors: team decision, trade of, conversation.

DevOpsCon Berlin 2017: Project Management from Stone Age to DevOps By Antoni...OpenCredo
The DevOps movement is gradually changing IT organisations. Project managers are often forgotten, but they also need to change. Are project managers ready for the DevOps change? In this talk we will cover the changes project managers are experiencing, first with Agile and now with DevOps.
(Threat) Hunting has been around long enough that most agree it should be part of all comprehensive information security programs. In any cat and mouse game, existing traps will never catch all mice. We need to apply creativity, analytical thinking, and keep humans in the loop. The challenge, of course, is that human hours are scarce and expensive. Most organizations cannot afford to staff hunt teams 24/7 (or at all), so what's the best way to deploy human attention to identify emerging threats? We’ll explore how to adopt aspects of entrepreneurship and align organizations to achieve positive outcomes by building lean (threat) hunting capabilities.

Generally speaking, when launching a new product in mind to create a startup, most of the time, we stay inside the "garage" without looking at the market or customers.
Are you sure you're creating the right product?
The pretotyping is a method that could be complementary to Lean Startup to validate that you are creating the right product before creating it well.

From the GitLab Data Team member, a first-face story about how the asynchronous way of working helps us manage the “chaos” (as folks usually think about remote work) in the 24/7 work environment. In this session, I like to demystify transparency and how it can leverage your success. The narrative is related to the Data team in GitLab and can be used for any matter. Will wrap the topics and guide you through: - Why transparency is an organic way to communicate and cooperate, - How to stay secure when you share everything or almost everything with the outer world, - How to leverage your data usage and still stay a good boy of the IT world, - What you should promise to your community

Agnostic, in an information technology (IT) context,
refers to something that is generalized so that it
is interoperable among various systems.
The term can refer not only to software and hardware,
but also to business processes or practices

“Agnostic Agile” is:
Agility that is adaptive within your given system
according to context and is not by necessity a
prescription of any particular framework or method.

- “First thing I did when I joined this company was to force everybody (even
marketing and sales) to use Scrum. I always do that on every company I work for,
cause I want everybody to know what Agile is.”
