Discord is a social media platform designed for gamers that allows users to contact friends, join groups, and communicate with large communities. It provides features for text, video, and voice chat between individuals and groups. Users can create or join servers containing text and voice chat rooms, share images and videos, and adjust audio settings for other users. Discord also has capabilities like overlaying voice chat on top of games and creating bot programs for monitoring conversations or playing music.

2. WHAT IS DISCORD
• Discord is a recently new social media cite meant for people
who use video games
• It allows you to contact friends, groups, and large communities
• It can send text, videos, pictures, and allows one to talk to
others
• It also has some special features many other social media cites
don’t have

3. FRIENDS/CONTACT LIST
• On Discord you have a list of your “friends” (simply a contact
list)
• You can see the status of your friends and what they are doing
(they have settings to block this)
• You can have an individual chat with them or video chat that
you can add others to

4. WHAT YOU CAN DO ON SERVERS
• To start you either join or create a server
• In a server there are text based chat rooms and voice biased
chat rooms
• In text biased rooms you can send text, images, and video
• Voice rooms have all people in the room able to communicate
over mics, you can adjust each persons audio and even mute
people

5. SPECIAL THINGS DISCORD CAN DO
• Discord has the ability to overlay a voice room you are in over a
game, allowing to edit mute and see who is talking
• You can also make special “bots” (a program) that can monitor
conversations , play music, or other things
• Along with text base rooms have small popups so you can reed
messages without closing what you are doing
