Gore Verbinski is a film director, scriptwriter, musician and producer born in 1964 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He is known for directing the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy as well as Rango, for which he won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2011. His directorial style features elements such as flashbacks, different perspectives, action scenes, and psychological horror. His favorite film is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which follows Jack Sparrow and his crew as they flee from Davy Jones to avoid their pursuer getting the Dead Man's Chest.
