I’m Soon Mao, a Multimedia Design Student.

Diploma in Multimedia Design student at Saito College .
I come to Saito College to learn more about advertising and the various skills of

5. In these subjects I learned about Adobe Illustrator and
Photoshop which covered the creation of movie posters and
calendar design.
For Photoshop I’ve learned about the importance of proper
selection to crop images using brushes and the selection
tools, as well as use of the adjustment tools like curves to
enhance images.
For Illustrator I understand the importance of managing
Layers as well as the organization of objects stored in each
respective layer.

6. Multimedia Interface Design
LEARNING JOURNEY
In this subject I learned to use Adobe Flash to create
animated banners and interactive buttons.
It is important for any web designer to design functional
sites that can easily generate interest and online traffic
among the internet users.
When utilizing my knowledge in the industry, I will be able to
create interfaces with elements of interactivity and
animation to stimulate the interest of users.

7. Photography

8. In this subject I learned how to point and shoot with a DSLR
camera as well as the customization of settings to take
various pictures.
The importance of this subject was in terms of lighting
considerations as well as the best framing and camera
settings used to capture a good quality picture.
I used Photoshop to do some basic editing to further enhance
the appeal of the image.
I personally believe that framing is important in bringing out
the message.

9. WEB Design

10. After carrying out my research for an area of interest,
I decided to go with L-style, a Dart company as they had an
interesting looking website.
My concept for this website was to use Black and Red as
layout colours to match their current theme.

12. A freelance project I worked on after being appointed by
Cake Creative Digital Lab to create an artwork for the
upcoming Sea Games.
I used Illustrator to adjust the logo, title and character to
complete this artwork.
I’m really grateful to be given this opportunity & trust to take
charge of a prestigious project.

13. My Dream and goals is become designer that creates interesting and
unique artworks.I like to make use of Adobe Illustrator to create
designs that look interesting.
Self-discipline drives me to deliver works ahead of time.
