By 2020, the Philippines aims to use electronic health (eHealth) to provide widespread access to health services and information through secure sharing and exchange of patient data. This will support a safer, higher quality, more equitable health system for all Filipinos by transforming how information is used to manage, deliver, and monitor health services. Key initiatives include implementing a Philippine Health Information Exchange, certifying electronic medical records, and introducing information technology in public health facilities and enabled health services.
