What did I do today?
Got introduced to our new teacher and we had a recap of what we did and what we are
going to do, we discussed our short film ideas individually. I was then put into a team and
discussed with my short film group about what we were going to do.
What did my team do today?
Laolu, Clifford and Liam had a discussion with me about what we were going to do for our
short film idea. So we could focus on different parts of the film and then the production
process would be quicker for us.
What am I going to do next?
Going to start making the documents needed for the short film that I decided that I would
do to help the group.

Date: 09/03/15
We had a meeting where we decided on our short film idea and how we would proceed
with filming this and who had which roles. We then decided what document everyone
would finish for the pre-production.
We decided our jobs for the pre-production process then Laolu, Liam and Clifford began
typing up the assigned documents, that we decided on when we had a meeting.
I am going to start the documents that I decided that I was going to do in the meeting.

I started the shot list and I completed it for scenes 1 and 2. I also started the Production
Roles and Actors Choice document so that we could be ready for filming soon.
Clifford and started typing up the first part of the recce and I assisted him in the shot list
as well.
Laolu started writing up the script.
Liam finished the treatment and proposal
Continue helping Clifford with the shot list and finish up the Production Roles and Actors
Choice document so that we know what we are going to do and who we are going to use.
Date: 23/03/15
Clifford wanted to focus on the recee so me and Laolu finished the shot list and continued
with the script so that we knew what we were shooting and how we were shooting. I
continued with the Production Roles and Actors Choice documents as well so that when we
were shooting the actors would help us.
Started the risk assessment for our filming locations.
Clifford to our filming location and took pictures for the recce.
Liam started to type up the storyboard.
Add more information to the Production Roles and Actors Choice document and then I will
add images.

Date: 30/03/15
I was supposed to do the production roles so I was finishing up the Production Roles. So
that we know what everyone’s roles were in the production of the short film.
I was also supposed to do the actor release forms so I printed them out, so I was ready to
go find the actors to get them to sign it off, that way they have agreed to act in our film
and have it submitted to YouTube.
Liam and Laolu went out and took pictures for our storyboard with me.
Liam then photo shopped the photos and placed them in the storyboard
Laolu finished off the script.
Clifford started the production schedule and finished the risk assessment and finished the
recee.
I am going to get the talent to sign the release forms so that I can use them in my film and
upload it to YouTube.

Date: 06/04/15
I finished the Actors Choice document saying why I picked those actors and what they are
going to do in our film and why I picked them. I also finished getting the actors to sign the
Actor Release Forms by getting them to sign it.
Clifford went back to recce a backup location.
Liam and Laolu went with me to get some missed pictures for a storyboard and correct
some of the rest.

Go back and see if any improvements can be made to my documents and see that I haven’t
missed out anything.

Date: 13/04/15
I added some finishing touches to the Production Roles explaining the jobs of each member
of the group and then I took pictures of the forms and uploaded it onto a word document
so I can show proof that I have got them to sign it.
Clifford went back to the production schedule and made changes to sequences of filming
and props and costume.
Laolu did part of the shooting script with Liam.
Make sure that everything is completed before the deadline of the documents.

Uploaded all work onto my blog so that if I lose it on my computer or memory stick, it will
be on the blog and I will be able to access it and so that examiners can see it.
Clifford made final additions to the recce and production schedule.
Laolu made final changes to shooting script
Liam finished the call sheet
Start filming.

After uploading the documents to my blog, I was ready to film, so we all went out with the
film crew to the film location and we started to film the scenes so we had started the
production and were on schedule so that we could edit it later. But when we were waiting
for people to show up to the location, we didn’t have 1 actor (Anghous) and the camera
man (Liam) show up, so we decided to shoot the scenes of just Busola and Jose with Clifford
(Sound engineer) having to take the part of using the camera. I was helping the director
(Laolu) visualise the scenes and how we could go about shooting the first scenes with just
Busola (Hannah) and (Jose) Anthony Gonzalez.
Clifford had to take over the camera because Liam didn’t come to the filming location and
Laolu was directing the scenes, Hannah and Anthony were acting for us in the scenes as
they agreed to act after signing the release forms.
We are going to film the rest of the scenes and start building up the short film so that we
can edit it later.

Date: 05/05/15
I went with the crew and started filming the rest of the scenes and helped out filming the
scenes.
We started filming the rest of the scenes of the short film by getting everyone to go to the
location, the same members of the crew didn’t show up like last time so we had to get the
directors brother Lanre to act as silhouette man and we got Clifford to carry on being
camera man. We filmed the rest of the scenes in about 3 hours with the group and then we
saved it onto the SD card and put it on the computer.

I am going to edit my own version of the finished short film like I was told to using Final
Cut Pro X in the mac room and I then added music and text and effects onto the clip.

Date: 12/04/15
I couldn’t finish editing my film because someone was using my mac that I had saved my
work on, so I waited for them to finish and then I finished it in about 1 hour and a half and
once the edit was finished I then uploaded it onto YouTube so that it can be viewed, I put in
the description that it was edited by me, once it uploaded on our groups YouTube account
I logged out and my production role was complete.
They all finished the day before so they helped me finish editing.
