1. Hello my name is Doctor seuss
I was born in Sipringfield, USA, on the 2nd
of March 1904.
my parents called me Ted.
My mother read stories and sang songs to
me and my sister Marnie..
My parents were German so I speak
German and English at home. When I was
little my father took me to the park and
there were mazes and a zoo.

2. When I was five years old, I started
drawing zoo animals and reading
newspaper comics.
At school, I liked to draw cartoons and
write funny poems. In 1921 I entered
the university and drew many cartoons
for the university magazine.

3. At the university of Oxford I met a
student named Helen and two years
later I got married and moved to live in
New Yortk.
In 1937, I wrote my first children´s
book. “And to Think that I Saw it on
Mulberry Street”.
The book was very popular as it hat
many picture.

4. My most important literary works are:
1. The cat in the hat” many children
loved it because it was funny it was
and easy to read.
2. “the Lorax” talks about caring for
environment.

5. I have written many books,
and I would like to invite you
to read them as they are very
exciting.
