The document discusses a multidisciplinary study of over 2000 terracotta statue fragments from the site of Toumba in Salamis, Cyprus dating to the 8th-7th centuries BC. Non-invasive analytical techniques such as 3D scanning, microscopy, and chemical analysis are being used to characterize the manufacturing techniques and help reassemble the fragments. Initial results identified different clay sources, surface treatments, and pigments used in the polychrome statues. The project aims to digitally reunify the fragments scattered across museums to aid research and cultural heritage management.
