Understanding How Does Corda Works:
Well, we will be taking an example of R3’s Corda training material to understand
the functioning of Corda. The example that we are highlighting here is of IOU, or I
Owe You, where someone requests the money, and then it will be paid back to the
person. In simple words, when the borrower asks for money form the lender, he
thinks about the amount and asks for the money, and the lender gives it to them.
Both the borrower and the lender remembers the amount here.

Now, let’s take this to the Corda platform. In this case, the borrower thinks about
the amount that needs to be borrowed and creates a transaction. He signs the
transaction and then sends it to the lender. The lender also signs the transaction
and sends it to the borrower. All this gets saved on the Corda platform. This way,
we now have a complete record of the transaction between the borrower and the
lender. It is immutable and cannot be altered, and hence the information is
absolutely safe.

This is the basic functioning of Corda; however, much more goes into it. You need
to learn how to code and prepare the entire programming such that the execution
on the front takes place seamlessly.

There is also the creation of smart contracts that can eventually help in the
successful execution of the transaction. This is just one example. There are
various other ways to use Corda and make the process of information exchange
transparent and secure.
