Dennis Jensen holds a master's degree in industrial design from Aalborg University. He has 5 years of experience collaborating in interdisciplinary teams on projects for real clients. His focus is on user-centered design, integrating user insights into the design process from research through prototyping. Jensen aims to think differently and take responsibility for addressing societal issues through innovative product, service, and business solutions.

I hold a master degree within Industrial Design from Aalborg
University, and this education has given me knowledge within
user-research, ideation, concept development and project
management. To achieve a fluent and efficient process I often
take an agile and methodical approach and through my five
years at the university I have collaborated in several teams with
different competencies. In all projects we have created new
solutions for real clients. These experiences have strengthened
my capabilities within interdisciplinary cooperation to analyse,
formulate and in the end implement solutions.
My approach to design is different from many other traditional
designers and I feel somehow obligated to think different to
achieve the predicate calling myself a designer. I believe that
designers should take responsibility to many of modern society’s
issuesandstartimplementingsolutions.Adesignerhastheabilities
and possibilites to make a deep impact on the market, which is
why I focus on roduct-, service and business development.

“I integrate user insights into design”
If the progress has stopped or any other problems
occurs, I often take the initiative searching for answers
to solve the problems. During my master thesis we
worked with an unfamiliar context, which required us
to be highly pro-active in form of knocking on doors
to achieve information. This experience had a positive
impact on my communication and interpersonal skills.
During my master thesis, I designed a manoeuvring
tool with an interactive display to the Læsø Ferry,
which reduced errors during docking situations. It was
important to take the interaction level between man and
machine into account at the beginning of the design
process. Therefore, I used rapid prototyping to generate
solutions, which could be used in a scenario play along
with the user. During the thesis, I have used methods
such as Act-It-Out; generate and evaluate concepts in
cooperation with users.
Attending CAMP FUTURE has enhanced my abilities
within project management and strategy development.
I was introduced to an international organisation, EF
Education First, which need was to redesign their current
product strategy. With this assignment I used analysing
tools to define the need, formulating tools to propose a
solution, and finally I have used implementation tools to
set up a road map illustrating how to launch the product
on the market.
I find it very satisfying working in teams and hearing
other ideas and opinions to a given solution often
inspires me. My curiosity and courtesy makes it easy
for me to talk to new people. I am not afraid to make
mistakes during the progress; learn by doing.
These capabilities shines through the projects were I
have done user-research including collecting insights
and alternative opinions of a problem and later translate
the collected data into specific design specifications.

“Let’s have a talk about how I can help you”
I define myself as a generalist because of my knowledge and
experience within the field of design. I strive to see and make
innovative solutions, meaning that the solution should add
something new and make a great impact to a current work
procedure or in a private home, and thereby make tomorrow
easier and more convenient for the user.
In my spare time I’m currently preparing to complete a half-
marathon, also I’m doing indoor climbing and bouldering, which
helps me relax and get my body and mind refuelled with energy.
In general I have a very competitive and determined personality,
which is why I love to challenge myself to set new boundaries.
I’m very open minded and easy to talk to. So why not consider
me for an interview - let’s talk.
