The document provides information for volunteers interested in helping Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity. It details opportunities to volunteer at their Restore thrift store or at their upcoming home build site in Temple, Texas throughout May and June. Volunteers are needed for tasks like construction, administrative work, and providing lunches. It provides the dates, locations, safety procedures, and contact information for volunteers to register.
1. Thank You!
To our partners, our volunteers and the many
individuals, businesses, churches and civic
organizations that make it possible for us to provide
homes to families that otherwise would never have
one: Words are not enough to express how much
we thank you!
The Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity is an
ecumenical housing ministry that builds homes for
low-income families. These families repay a zero
interest mortgage to Habitat for their homes. The
money paid from these mortgages helps us to build
more homes for more families.
To keep the cost down, Habitat obtains the
materials, either through donations or by
purchasing, for the homes and uses volunteers, both
skilled and unskilled, to build the homes. Local
businesses, churches, civic organizations, and
individuals donate the money to purchase the
necessary building supplies.

Habitat for Humanity, visit our web site at
