Wendy Albee presented on four principles of interior design for the holidays: color, lighting, balance and harmony, and creativity. She discussed using color palettes that include traditional Thanksgiving colors with twists like purple or red as the primary color. Lighting can be used to create drama and ambience through various light sources. Balance is achieved through consideration of textures, repetition of colors, and functional yet eye-catching details. Creativity allows for whimsical, unique, and found object decor like oranges studded with cloves or an Asian-inspired Christmas tree made of yarn.
