1. December is National
Mutt Month!
Help those homeless mutts! (and cats!)
Bring in a minimum 5lb bag or case of
canned dog/cat food to be donated to
the shelter this holiday season and get
5% off of your visit! (services only)
2. The Sad Truth
Although the holidays
should be a joyous and
happy time, we must
remember that there are
homeless pets that need
necessities, too! Most
shelters rely solely on
good samaritans when it
comes to food and
supplies. They are
ALWAYS in need of food,
bedding, litter, toys ect.
Any little bit helps!

4. Holiday Cautions!
During the Holiday season, it’s fun to go a little
crazy with decorations! But remember some
simple things to help your pets stay safe.
Make sure to securely anchor your tree. Hang
breakable ornaments high up and out of reach.
Clean up needles frequently; they can be toxic if
eaten! Prevent your pet from drinking water from
your tree stand. Keep lights and extension cords
secure to deter chewing. Lilies, poinsettias,
mistletoe and holly (some of the most popular
Holiday house plants) while all beautiful, can
cause serious damage to your pet, some even
fatal.

6. Adopt a Pet!
If you are thinking about giving a pet as a
gift, remember, adopt don’t shop!
5 to 7 million companion animals enter
animal shelters nationwide every year.
25% of dogs that enter shelters are
purebred.
Only 1 out of every 10 dogs born will find a
permanent home.
Homeless pets outnumber homeless
people 5 to 1.
