A plane carrying a Uruguayan rugby team crashed in the Andes mountains in 1972, killing many passengers. However, some survivors resorted to cannibalism of the deceased in order to stay alive for over two months until they were rescued. The crash and subsequent ordeal in the freezing mountains is an incredible story of human resilience in the face of extreme adversity.
