Career Highlights;
Howden North America
• Produce production drawings for replacement/repair fan components in a variety of
sizes, tolerances & materials.
• Most drawings are made from Inventor models which are created in a high volume/high
output/fast turnaround environment.
• Remaining drawings are made on AutoCad or Raster.

Flaktwoods
• Designed fans for new power plant installations, ensuring that fans fit into customer’s
working plant layout.
• Retrofit fans by replacing complete fans or parts. Designed fans, rotors (wheel & shaft),
variable inlet vanes, bearings, pedestals and various components to mount into
customers existing fan location holding existing foundation points, centerline, inlet &
outlet duct locations. Fan parts are designed to meet customer new performance
requirements, saving customers considerable money in engineering, fan foundation &
new duct work costs. I provided solutions to challenges that arose while trying to
accommodate this retrofit into customer’s existing location & system.
• Created models & drawings utilizing SolidWorks, Creo (Pro engineer) & AutoCad.
Buffalo Forge Co.
• Reviewed orders, designed and developed accurate assembly and detail drawings on a
CAD system of different arrangement fans made from a variety of materials.
• Layout and developed complete center control variable inlet vanes designed for large
industrial airfoil fans.
• Developed flat patterns of various components which are transferred directly through
CAD-CAM, to be burnt out on a plasma machine.
• Checked other design draftsmen’s work for accuracy and then instructed them on
corrections.
Snyder Tank Corp.
• Designed fixture inserts used for rounding various diameter steel cylinders resulting in a
considerable savings of changeover time and creating a more cost-effective and efficient
operating environment.
• Designed a load machine thereby eliminating unnecessary physical steps upon the
welder and reduced load/unload time. Consequently, my design of this machine
resulted in better utilization of the welder’s skills and increased productivity and
profitability for the company.
• Designed an 8 foot extendible conveyor section which eliminated the need for a crane.
This ultimately relieved physical stress which the welder would previously experience.
