The North Roanoke Baptist Association has made enormous progress, but as we look into the future, there is much that needs to be done to become a healthy, effective organization. It is time to take another step to fulfill our potential. In the future, association ministry will once again be the essential organization for cooperative in Southern Baptist Life.
We have very capable pastors and ministry leaders serving on our various ministry teams. They can develop innovative ideas for ministry; but only God knows the strategy for our unique circumstance which will strengthen churches, unite us in ministry, and enable us to fulfill the Great Commission. As we seek Him by praying together and dare to depend upon Him to guide us, He will give direction. We will see God working in our circumstances by opening new doors of opportunity and bringing new people and resources across our paths. When we then take a step of faith based on what God has revealed, we sill see Him do the miraculous. This is the amazing adventure of living in obedience to Him.
In a world that is becoming more confused and disoriented in the darkness of sin and desperation - this level of obedience will be required in order to have an effective witness of the power of God.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

David, Rowene & Michael Sheppard Ministry Review 2010
1. David, Rowene & MichaelSheppard, almost 27 years laboring in Latin America Left Canada in 1975 for a 6 month ministry on a team in Mexico, Cuba, Belize and Guatemala – turned into 4 years (did 3 semesters of language training in Guadalajara in 76-77) In July 1979 returned to Canada and pastored in Grace Gospel Tabernacle (the Dome or the igloo) for most of 8 years Recomissioned to the mission field (based in Puebla, Pue.) in June 1987 until the present time.
2. Highlights/Areas of Ministry From 1987-97 they travelled continuously ministering in Praise and Worship as well as teaching the Word interdenominationally. In 1990 David began working in publications – a Christian newspaper like BC Christian News – it continues to this present date. Today it is also released on the internet as well - (www.periodicoalianza.com) [monthly and bi-monthly publication, 5-6000 copies)Distribution: major cities of Mexico, in major bookstores and churches
3. Areas of Ministry In 1995 we founded UCLogos in Puebla and began teaching Bible classes. Many graduates over the years. Some are pastors today and have Bible schools working in conjunction with us again. There are 5 or 6 branch schools, with a total of 50 to 75 students at any given time. Today we also use “technology” (classes on DVD) provided to us by ISOM. In May 2009 we also began weekly radio ministry reaching out across the city and later the world on Internet TV (Tuesdays at 6 p.m.)
4. Ministry review continued In March 2002 we began a church (Grace and Glory Church). Moved to our present location 6 months later. Today we have 75 to 85 attending regularly, even after a few problems in 2009 We’ve always had an interest in unity amongst the churches, therefore it was not an unheard of thing for them to give birth to “JOY IN THE CITY” that took place on Dec 22/09 in Puebla, Mexico – an “open air” Christmas Carol festival with choirs from 12 churches participating.

Here’s an interesting but disturbing fact - it represents a still great need for reaching the lost These pictures were shot on Dec 12, 2009 Millions of Mexican Catholics participate in this form of idolatry every year because they know not a living Savior! They need someone to reach them with the gospel. The traditional church of Mexico isn’t evangelizing them – “Who will go for us?” (Isa 6:8) “The harvest is great but the laborers are few….” (Matt 9:37-8) Do you feel God calling you?
