David and Netty met on Yahoo Personals in 2008 and immediately connected, realizing they had found their soulmate. On their first date at Sizzler, they were very comfortable with each other. David proposed during a surprise trip to see his family in St. Louis. They married in April 2009 and took a 3-week road trip to Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri for their honeymoon. In October 2009, they moved into Netty's father's house in West Valley City, which they later purchased. They adopted a boxer pit mix named Sami in November 2009, who became their first baby.

4. How we met..David and I met on Yahoo! Personals. When both of us decided to make a Yahoo personal ad, we both thought we could just meet new friends. Both of us only ended up talking to each other and know one else. On March 19, 2008 we met for the first time and both of us knew we had found our soul mate.

5. Our first date..David came and picked me up at my house and I could tell her was very nervous. Within 5 minutes we both were very comfortable with each other and laughing and giggling. We went to Sizzler and then came back to my house and watched “The Bee Movie” It was a very memorable night that we still cherish and talk about to this day.

6. How he proposed to me..He had just took me to St. Louis, Missouri to meet his mom and brothers and all of his extended family. On our last night of our 2 week trip, we stayed in a cute little motel and we were so tired we decided not to go eat out that night. We went to the nearest grocery store and got some hot dogs and buns and came back to the hotel and cooked them in the microwave. When we were done David got on his knee and asked me to be is wife. He had the ring and everything. I was totally surprised and so very happy.

9. Our Honeymoon..We took a road trip for our honeymoon. It was 3 weeks long and we went to Denver, Colorado; Topeka, Kansas; and St. Louis Mo (which is where David is from). We had a great time just hanging out and eating good food (which is our favorite thing to do). David’s mom Charlotte had another reception for us down there for the family that could not come to Utah for our wedding. It was really nice and a blast to see all of David’s family.

10. The Day we moved into our house..My dad Glen owned this house in West Valley City and the people that were in the process of buying it from him backed out in July of 2009. It just so happened that is when David and I was looking for a place of our own since we were still living at my dad’s house in Sandy. My dad asked us if we wanted to move in and rent it until we could get the loan to buy it from him. On October 31, 2009, we moved in to our first home together and it was a very exciting day for both of us. On July 12, 2010, the house became ours for good as we got the mortgage and bought it from my dad.

11. When Sami came into our lives..On Nov 16, 2009, we got our beloved Sami. She is a boxer Pit mix and she is a wonderful joy to have in our lives. She will always be our first baby.
