11. The Durham Truancy Project As a pilot project DARYC receives referrals from 4 target schools of students that meet the criteria for the study. Upon receiving consent, DARYC conducts the following process. Our goal is to show through consistency, intensity and duration we can divert students at threshold of dropping out of school. Through our collaborative continuum of services we can increase school attachment, promote positive behavior which leads to graduation and thus provides opportunity for post secondary education.
