Dangers of Drug Use
• Talk to them about it - explain how it hurts them and the
entire family unit.
• Take them substance abuse prevention presentations.
• And, understand them better by listening.

• Watch educational videos.
• Do an outreach at a hospital helping cancer patients who
had been addicted to either Tobacco, alcohol or drugs.
Children below 8 years shouldn't be subjected to this
content
• Use the Internet as a tool to show them the reality of
substance abuse.

Support Group
• Encourage your children to get involved with their friends in
community activities
• Help them plan school level activities that are fun and
informative and spread awareness about drug abuse
• Support their choice of friends that steer clear of drugs
• Be aware of the school’s activity list
