Senior Landscape Architect
Profile
I am an enthusiastic, dedicated person who always strives to do their best and be the best. I interact well with others and I am capable of leading and
working within a team as well as individually.
David Jarvis Associates July 2008 – September 2009
I initially embarked on my landscape architecture career whilst working with David Jarvis Associates in Swindon, which was quite planning focused.
After graduating from University I began working on Cambridge Biomedical Campus and Clay Farm, Green Corridor where I advanced my
design/technical knowledge and created a good reputation for having a strong/diverse work ethic.
BDP December 2010 – December 2014
I then switched jobs to BDP. After joining BDP I made the transition from a supporting/technical role to more independent project landscape architect
role. I benefited from working in a multidisciplinary office, working alongside architects, engineers and planners and gained a good understanding of
design team roles co-ordination, project planning and management (and QMS procedures involved), project/design work stages, risks and liabilities,
planning procedures, client liaison and management. I gained a good balance of planning and contract work and an understanding of how my role and
responsibilities apply for both large and small scale projects.
Al Shamsi Terra Firma January 2015 - Present
I am now currently at Al Shamsi Terra Firma where I have worked as a Senior Landscape Architect for over 1 year. In that time I have been responsible
for leading a team in the delivery of multiple and varied projects. My duties included delivery of multiple stages including concept through to tender and
construction documentation, attending meetings with clients and design teams, co-ordination of design team on projects, production of fee proposals for
potential jobs, site supervision and dealing with clients on a day to day basis. I also deal with sub-consultants on nearly all jobs, specifically irrigation
and swimming pool/water features coordinating and insuring that they deliver on time.
Working in Dubai with ASTF has enabled me to work in an environment which has a strong design ethic while combining this with the need to deliver
projects on time and to the standard required.
