D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a program taught in schools by trained police officers to educate students about drug and violence resistance. It has been established since 1983 and operates in over 40 countries. The program teaches students decision making, peer pressure resistance, and how to be good community members. Police officers take a special two-week training course to teach D.A.R.E. lessons. The program aims to empower students to make healthy life choices through interactive lessons and community service activities.
