An array of local and African youth will participate at the event including mem- bers of Studio D Dance, The Hynan School of Irish Dancing, CAC Choir, and DJ Brown amongst others. Dance for Chernobyl will commence at 4.00pm and will continue until 8.00pm. Admission is €10 and everyone will leave with a complimentary goody bag. An evening full of dance, music and fun is guaranteed. All funds raised will support the work of The Greater Chernobyl Cause. The Greater Chernobyl Cause is involved in the construction and repair of Orphanages, Hospitals and Care Centres. Supporting regional economies by purchasing all building materials locally, and in turn, providing employ- ment to the local work- force. The charity is actively involved in Hospice work for the elderly. Providing overseas medical treat- ment for sick children and actively participate in a holiday programme. Res- cue and Rehabilitation pro- gramme providing fami- lies for homeless children enabling them to ultimate- ly make a valuable con- tribution to society. They send Humanitarian Aid to Kazakhstan, Ukraine & Russia in 40ft containers. The charity also operates an education programme for schools and colleges, educating students about the wider world and the suffering that exists there. Offering students the op- portunity of gaining work experience in Cork and operating a programme for overseas volunteers.
