MARKET UPDATES & STOCK RECOMMENDATION

FIRMS in the manufacturing and services sectors are
 expecting business conditions in Singapore to improve
over the next six months A net weighted balance of
four per cent of manufacturers foresee a more
favorable business situation for January to June, 2014.
This compares with one per cent of them foreseeing
deterioration in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Total bank lending in Singapore rose 1.5 percent in
December from November, led by loans to financial
institutions, central bank data showed on Thursday
Loans and advances by domestic banking units in the
city-state amounted to S$574.2 billion ($450.12
billion) last month, up from S$565.8 billion in
November,

Singapore Exchange (SGX) announced that SAC Capital
Pte Ltd (SAC) has upgraded to a Full Sponsor on
Catalist, its sponsor-supervised board for growth
companies. SAC is an existing Continuing Sponsor on
Catalist. As a Full Sponsor, SAC will be authorized to
sponsor IPOs on Catalist and oversee the company’s
compliance with SGX listing rules.
