NSE Nifty 5,550 5,592 (0.74) After two consecutive days of gains the Indian markets bumped into a speed breaker on Tuesday, with the
BSE Midcap 6,919 6,967 (0.68) main Indian equity indices falling marginally on account of steep losses in most global markets. However, the
BSE Smallcap 8,243 8,308 (0.78) Indian market did show some resilience in the face of the worldwide meltdown with the BSE Sensex and the
Nifty Junior 11,382 11,496 (1.00) NSE Nifty ending off the day's lows. The recovery was partially aided by a government report showing some
CNX Midcap 8,022 8,103 (1.00) moderation in food inflation in the third week of May. FII buying in the past few days has also been
encouraging though not spectacular. On the other hand, we've seen weakness in the core sector and
manufacturing data. Auto sales have not been spectacular either. The resurfacing of the 2G scam had little
impact on the sentiment though stocks linked to the newsflow did come under pressure. Technically, the
