1. Digital Arts Certificate Programs
Apple The Apple certificates prepare you to operate, upgrade and maintain Mac
computer systems at home or in the office. Take your Apple Certification exam
with us.
Graphic Design The Graphic Design certificates focus on professional design
and production for printed and digitally published materials including brochures,
newsletters, ads, books, interactive publications, etc.
Web Design The Web Design certificates focus on building and maintaining
professional and effective websites. Various tools and techniques for web editing,
graphics and marketing are presented.
Web Developer Build interactive, data driven websites using both client-
side and serverside technologies. Acquire an understanding of database design
and use, develop basic programming skills, and attain a solid foundation in the
construction of websites.
Instructional Media Developer Create rich materials for the classroom,
including multimedia content for online learning.
Multimedia Combine the web, publishing and/or video skills for projects for
websites, CDs, DVDs or training modules as well as brochures, newsletters, ads,
books, interactive publications or film shorts. Choose a publishing/web or web/
video concentration or a combination.
Digital Photography The Digital Filmmaking certificate offers training in
digital filmmaking including videography, video and audio editing, motion graphics,
animation and visual effects. Create professional video or motion graphics projects
or film shorts. Choose a video or motion graphics concentration or a combination.
Digital Filmmaking The Digital Filmmaking certificate provides training
in camera and editing techniques, motion graphics, audio, and 2D animation.
Combine this with Apple Certification in video-editing.
Music Production Enter the world of modern music production with digital
recording, editing and mixing techniques. Discover dynamite production solutions for
music bed, soundtrack, hip hop, rhythm and blues, rock, electronic music creation
and more. Learn how to promote and sell your own music.
Apple Creative Professional Differentiate yourself to employers and
clients as an Apple Certified Pro for video editing or music production. These
certification programs create a benchmark for assessing users’ proficiency in
Apple’s professional applications, Final Cut Pro or Logic Pro. Offered in partnership
with Apple through our Apple Authorized Training Center.
Welcome to the Digital Arts Program at
UNM Continuing Education!
We provide non-credit Digital Arts training in graphic design, computer graphics, web
design, photography, filmmaking, video, audio, interaction design, motion graphics,
animation, and music production. We are also the only Apple Authorized Training Center in
New Mexico. Any course may be taken as part of a certificate program or independently.
Facility Most courses are held in the
UNM Continuing Education complex south
building at 1634 University Blvd. NE in
Albuquerque, just north of Indian School.
Parking is free and readily available for
all classes held at the UNM Continuing
Education/UNM Conference Center
complex.
Our computer courses are held in one of our
dual-platform Digital Arts labs featuring both
Windows and Macintosh operating systems
and current Adobe and Apple software.
