Divas 4 Tech is an association of women in technology founded by graduates of the Safaricom Academy to encourage women's participation in the field and empower girls. They have chapters in universities and work with high school, university, and professional women. Their goals are to inspire girls, provide mentorship, promote women's innovation, and give computers to less fortunate schools. They have participated in events like Divadroid and Mobile Web Africa and work with partners like Cisco to advance their mission.

2. Who we are

Divas 4 Tech is an association of a group of ladies in the
technology field all from the Safaricom Academy who aspire to
improve the life of women in Africa through technology.

We focus on encouraging the participation of women in the
technology field.
History

The founders met at the Strathmore University Safaricom
Academy and quickly became aware of the poor involvement of
ladies in mobile innovation.

Girl Child Empowerment

Provide Mentorship

Promote women innovation and entrepreneurship in technology.

4. Our Level of Engagement

The association is voluntary in membership, national in scope,
democratic in decision-making.

We have chapters in various institutions of higher learning,
where all female students in technology can freely join.

The society’s membership is open

High school girls join as junior members

Ladies in institutions of higher learning become the active members

Women working in the technology field become our mentors.

7. What do we plan for the future

To increase our presence (adding on D4T chapters)

To and inspire over 5000 girls

To provide computers and learning facilities to the less fortunate
girls schools.
