2nd violation - Zero grade for the period
3rd violation - Out of the unit and a referral to the administration

Badminton Safety Review HandoutThis is about safetyWhy do you need to know your area before hitting?Why do you need to know front/rear during game?Safety First!Call for the birdie when you feel you can hit it safely within your coverage areaKnow your coverage area as the front player and as the back player to avoid getting hit accidently by your classmateWhen not playing and while waiting “on deck”, the badminton racket remains near your side, not upWhen moving toward another court to play, use court etiquette (good manners) and walk around, not on any of the badminton courts while classmates are playingBadminton rackets are the school’s property, treat them with respect by “not” hitting them against the floor, wall or matsAbsolutely no fooling around or misuse of the rackets will be tolerated, example “sword fighting”. Consequences: First violation is a 5 minute sit out, 2nd violation results is a zero grade for the period and sitting out for the remainder of the period, and the 3rd violation is the same as in baseball, three strikes and you’re out of the unit and a referral to the administration.
