Cypress Equities has hired Sarah Sawyers Schram as their new senior marketing coordinator. Schram will be responsible for consumer marketing initiatives at two of Cypress Equities' mixed-use properties, Midtown Village in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Village at Leesburg in Leesburg, Virginia. She previously worked as the corporate communications manager for Omni Hotels and has experience in media relations and marketing. Cypress Equities' CEO, Chris Maguire, stated that Schram's experience in corporate communications will benefit their continued success in operating retail and mixed-use properties.

Cypress Equities Hires Senior MarketingCoordinator
DALLAS(October 5, 2011) – Cypress Equities companies*(“Cypress”) today announced it is
expanding itsmarketing team with the addition of Sarah Sawyers Schram.
Schramjoins Cypress assenior marketing coordinator and is responsiblefor consumer marketing
initiatives, including center-wide events, sales promotions and advertising, plus merchant
relations and center communications for a number of mixed-use properties developed and
managed by Cypress Equities. She will dedicate her efforts primarily at Midtown Village in
Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Village at Leesburg in Leesburg, Virginia.
Schram comes to Cypress from Omni Hotels in Irving, Texas, where she served as corporate
communications manager since October 2009. Her duties included the creation of acquisition
and development presentations, management of tracking hits and impressions for fifty Omni
properties, oversight of property public relations efforts, training property PR representatives,
plus composing media releases and other marketing collateral.
Prior to her work with Omni Hotels, Schram was a Graduate Assistant at the University of North
Texas School of Journalism in Denton and a Media Analyst/Buyer with Direct Effect Media in
Norman, Oklahoma.
