Synopsis : The project was intended towards developing such a device which can save energy
consumption as well as which can be used for both commercial and domestic applications. Smart
Energy Meter is such an electronic device which can read electricity consumption in houses &
industries accurately & reliably. It can stop electricity tempering & detects overloading. Rating
of energy meter is being done by the electricity boards through the base station. Now if a person
tries to tamper, at same instant it is being detected at the base station and power supply of that
particular house gets cut.
