D. SCOPES OF WORKS
1. Jacket Installation inclusive Of Spools & Risers
Preparing and choosing the slings, shackles and chains to ensure they are in good condition. Also,
to conduct checking of McKissick Block, Chain block, air tugger hose and hold back slings. Apart
from that, tugger crane operating is part of my work scopes.
2. Anchor Handling
Conduct daily checking on the anchor cable, buoy hooks, mooring line/pick up anchor and midline
buoy to the boat. Besides, acting as a signaler with crane operator.
3. Alongside material / pipe barge crew boat
Ensure the rope is ready and there is crew on standby for the material/pipe barge & crew boat to
be alongside. Bedsides, the tasks are to ensure that heavy line stern to bow portside and starboard
side. On top of that, the work scope has included the monitoring of crew transfer to material / pipe
barge or crew boat via basket personnel transfer.
4. Pipe laying / Pipeline
Ensure the pipe being transfer from the pipe barge to the main barge is done safely. It also includes
the preparatory work of the pipe vertical bowstring slings, hold back slings and shackles. Prior to
the start of any task, ensure that the swabbing brush, external line up, internal line up clamp, ray
crawler swivel and cable make up, copper tube, buckles detector gauge plate spreader bar valve &
fitting service wrap are in good operating condition.

E. RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect or check as needed to ensure that all riggers are following the issued criteria of the job scope
and report any issues or conditions to his immediate supervisor
Guide the control of riggers assigned to the task and guide the individuals with all specific tasks to
ensure that all job requirements are met
Assemble and install rigging gear such as cables, ropes, pulleys and winches to lift, lower move or
position machinery or equipment, structural steel and any other heavy object
Choose or make slinging equipment and attach it to the load, to complete movement requirement
within the safety guidelines
Examine objects to be moved or secured, estimate their size, shape and weight, and decide on type of
equipment necessary
Assist Fitter and Welder as needed
Reporting all damages to rigging and safety equipment to his or her immediate supervisor
Proper installation of all safety and rigging equipment
Assist with crane operations as needed
Assemble and disassemble braces, booms, chains and hooks to lifting machinery and provide
support in securing items in position
Provide support to other trades / disciplines where required
