Personal Statement
Over the years, I have developed a strong work ethic and the necessary skills to
work to a refined and sophisticated level. I have come to realise that as an individual
I need to be a lifelong learner and acquire transferable skills, which enable me to rise
to the challenges of the modern workplace. I am open-minded about different work
environments and understand the value of communicating effectively with both work
colleagues and management.
Since leaving secondary education I have continued to pursue self-development
through actively engaging in work/state/self-sponsored educational courses which
have enabled me to possess a wide ranging set of key transferable skills which I
have developed and honed throughout my career whilst acquiring numerous
qualifications and certificates. I possess the ability to apply understanding to various
software systems and packages having adapted to various systems in my previous
roles. Within my previous positions I have had to apply organisational skills such as
prioritisation when deciding which of numerous projects would be the most beneficial
to be completed first therefore utilising my efficiency as a resource of the company. I
have utilised my logical/critical analytical skills when evaluating and analysing
completed projects. I have developed my time management skills to a sophisticated
level , ensuring that tasks that require a specific timescale and/or priority are
completed to the satisfaction of all concerned parties and that this requires hours to
be worked as necessary. I have also worked as part of a team where I have been
responsible for contributing, collating and presenting group work utilising my
communication skills together with high accuracy and attention to detail.
