Malik Obama has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance roles in both the US and Kenya. He is currently the Chairman and Founder of The Barack H. Obama Foundation, where he oversees policy, direction, and project identification. Prior to this role, he held various accounting positions for organizations such as Chemonics International, Lockheed Martin, and Fannie Mae, gaining experience in accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting, and more. He received a B.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Nairobi in Kenya.
