I am now studying in my first year at Winstanley College. I am studying four AS/A
levels which are Film, Media, Mathematics and French. I am predicted B in all these
subjects.
I have a level 2 Basic Food Hygiene certificate at which I received 100%.

Work Experience.
I recently worked as a sales consultant Christmas temp at Next (robin park). This has
given me many skills for working in retail. The job was very demanding and put some
pressure on me because of the hours and work built up for the sales. I handled this
very well and completed a number of different tasks. I asked when I needed
assistance so I could give 100%. I really enjoyed working for next because it has given
me a real taste of working in retail. My jobs included: till, money handling, cleaning,
MUCH organisation, stock sizing and I also worked as a stockroom assistant for a
small part of the job.
I am currently volunteering at Barnardo’s charity shop (Wigan 2). I really enjoy
working here as I feel good that I am helping a good cause. This has not only given
me experience in customer service and retail, but has given me the confidence to
work in a retail environment. This job entailed skills such as, money handling,
managing the till, customer service, organising stock and donations etc.
I formally worked at a Green Grocer’s shop temporally for the summer. I believe this
position given me experience in sales and most importantly, customer care.
Responsibilities included; Stock rotation, managing the till, customer care. Overall, I
believe this has given me the confidence to work in a pressured environment and
how to work to the best of my ability.
Unfortunately, I have had very little employment experience but I am willing to
participate at any task, very eager to learn and a very fast learner. I feel I would be
an asset to any company. Everyone has to start from somewhere and I will ensure I
work my very best in anything I do.
Interests.
My main interest is the film and media industry. I really enjoy being involved in the
production of film as I have picked them both to study at A level. From working the
camera to the editing I just really enjoy it. I would like to make a career out of it one
day. I love going to the cinema to see the next blockbuster films with my friends.
I really love learning about different cultures. For example, I am studying French at
college which I find very interesting. I hope to one day know the basics of many
languages but in French, I hope to be a fluent speaker. I love the country.
I really enjoy Charity work because I believe the world should be a fair and equal
place. So, I have been working as a volunteer at Barnardo’s to do my bit. I really

Along side this I really enjoy socializing and trying new experiences. I hate to be
bored so I like to keep myself busy.
