Zissis Papastamatis has over 20 years of experience as a civil engineer and project manager for public works projects in Greece. He currently serves as the Head of Quality Control for the Directorate of Technical Works in Central Greece, where he oversees quality assurance for EU-funded public construction projects with budgets totaling millions of euros. Some of the major projects he has managed include the construction of highways, bridges, dams, and hospitals. SUMMARY
Experienced via a strong technical background as a Civil
,geotechnical engineer and Project Manager in Directorate of Technical
Projects in Construction on difficult conditions, based on the multisided
approach of engineering (project design, construction, supervising, follow
up, review of design reports, risk analysis, research, participation in
scientific committees). These last twenty years of my career as
Supervising Engineer and Head of Department of Planning, Research and

I have completed this period and the issue of my book on "STANDARD
GUIDE EXECUTION AND SUPERVISION OF PUBLIC WORKS", which will
be issued in June 2015. This is a pioneering project that will cover all the
necessary procedures for implementing and monitoring of Construction
according to European and Greek Legislation, with specific examples of in all
construction phases of the project (from the signing of the Construction
Contract until final acceptance of the Project). It is accompanied by – step by
step - all the required actions be taken by the Project Contractor government
and the documents submitted to the Contracting Authority
