PERSONAL PROJECTS
2013 – Presented a letter to my administration at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center an idea
promoting development of a relationship with Colorado River Medical Center (CRMC). This would
allow WARMC to serve the people of Needles needing a higher level of care the option of being
transferred to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center (WARMC). They would not need to be
transferred out of the area. Our CEO Alex Villa (9/2013) confirmed WARMC is now serving the people
of Needles through an arrangement making CRMC a Critical Access Point and WARMC the higher
level of care in the Mohave Valley. Several persons were simultaneously working on this idea. I was
only one contributor.
2012-Present: Distance Blood Glucose Control & Monitoring and Safety Network for my daughter. She
developed Type 1 diabetes after an acute viral illness when visiting in the California. I was working in
the Mohave Valley AZ. Care Plan included coordinating with her endocrinologist/diabetic RN in Loma
Linda, development of a standardized glucose/nutrition monitoring system using cell/text/internet and
fax for school and home communication. Developing relationships with Pediatric Endocrinology teams
in Las Vegas and Rancho Cucamonga. This system watches blood glucose, carbohydrate and nutritional
intake and insulin dosing. These are communicated via cell/text & fax. Skyp internet technology was
used for regular personal assessment. This was successfully managed over a 250 mile distance with my
10 year old daughter. It allows her maximum flexibility, independance and safety
