Offshore Experience
• 5 Years experience with HPHT wells whilst Derrickman and assistant.
• Experience from top hole to 6” hole and completions including
cemented
• Able to perform daily checks such as Derrick inspections, BOP and
choke line-up’s.
• Maintain accurate record’s of tubular’s, tools and BHA.
• Knowledge of Drilling calculations and basic computer skills.
• Can conduct pre-job, safety and weekly QHSE meetings.
• Assist driller in operating drilling and mud circulating equipment.
• Read and interpret various gauges and meters and assist in
maintaining records and logs.
• Prepare for impending operations and assist in the supervision of
repairs on drilling and associated equipment.
• Monitor mud systems and supervise solids control equipment and mud
mixing operations.
• Experience and knowledge of Divertor systems.

Over the years I have completed numerous training courses related to the
industry with the vast majority being associated with risk assessment and

Rig History
I started my offshore career with Sante Fe on the Galaxy 1. I then moved to
the Magellan and on to my present rig the Monarch. I also completed a spell
on the semi-submersible 714 and was able to grasp the basic workings of that
rig type.
Education History
I completed secondary education leaving school at age 17 with o grades in
arithmetic, English, Geography, biology and art and design. Highers in art and
design and geography. I also hold a full clean driving licence.
Hobbies and interests
I enjoy travelling at home and abroad and love to discover new places.
Angling and bird watching are my favored hobbies but I also spend time
walking and cycling. I have recently completed the first two parts of my
motorcycle test.
Personal Qualities
I am a person who is equally suited to working within a team or on my own.
Working long hours is something I am accustomed to and work well in high
pressure situations. I take enormous pride in my work and continually strive to
