countries around the world.
 This resource is dedicated to creating concise, reliable
and up-to-date reports written and reviewed by local

 For Exploring Questions: How many people live in
Minnesota? What language is spoken in Argentina?
What food do they eat in Sweden?
 CultureGrams is a great resource at the beginning of a
research project; information about different countries
is provided and can inspire further investigation as
research progresses
 Confirmation of found information is another way to
use CultureGrams

 CultureGrams can be accessed online at hclib.org with
a Hennepin County Library Card
 CultureGrams can be accessed at any library
computers without a library card, ask for login
information from a librarian

this resource purposefully

2. Select Browse and
Online Resources from the
dropdown menu.
Resources are listed
alphabetically, slect
CultureGrams

10. • Because we are looking for information about a
state, select ”State Edition”
• Information on all 50 states can be found on
this page, select the state of interest from the
list or by clicking on the map

11. • The sidebar shows different
information about the state,
because we are interested in how
many people live in Minnesota,
we can select Population

12. • Now we have our answer, 5,639,632
people live in Minnesota
