The Association of Cuban American Engineers (ACAE) holds an annual Cuba Infrastructure Scholarship competition for engineering students to propose ideas to improve Cuba's infrastructure. William Pino, a Miami resident and president of Main Street Engineering, sponsors two scholarships per year for this competition. Students must partner with a mentor to develop a project topic focused on enhancing Cuba's water, energy, transportation or healthcare infrastructure. Winners are selected for first, second and third place prizes, while other participants may still present and receive awards.

2. Introduction
 William Pino has most recently held the position of
president for Main Street Engineering in Miami,
Florida. In this role he oversaw marketing efforts and
ensured that engineering contracts were developed
and handled correctly. He was also present at various
job inspections and during surveys. Outside of his
professional life, Miami resident William Pino donates
to the Association of Cuban American Engineers
Scholarship Foundation, where he is a sponsor of two
engineering scholarships a year.

3. Association of Cuban American
Engineers
 The scholarship is open to students who are a
senior in college or in graduate school. In order to
enter the competition, students must work with a
mentor and come up with a topic that shows how
infrastructure can be improved upon.
Infrastructure is not limited, and can deal with
anything from a water supply to energy
production, or even health care. Winners are
grouped in first, second, and third place
categories. Participants who do not make these
ranks may still be invited to present their project
and be awarded a participation incentive.
