Catherine Terlop combines her love of scientific information and her passion for
art to create a variety of new ways to teach and inspire the world around her. She
uses visual teaching techniques to creates informational devices to teach a specific
audience. After hours of research, working with certified professionals, sketches,
rendering, and design she creates a visual to fit the needs of her specific job at
hand. She uses this imagery to further the education in medical, zoological, and
scientific topics to all age ranges (whether professionals or those who are
scientifically inclined).

The Biomedical Art program at Cleveland Institute of Art is one of
only a few BFA degrees of its kind in the United States, combining
appiilied art, science, and technology to create visual education
materials on scientific and medical topics. Based on the traditional
field of scientific and medical illustration the curriculum
incorporates leading-edge digital media techniques, interactivity,
and 3D/2D animation
