4. FIELDWORK EXPERIENCE
Educo is a public charitable trust founded by Ms.
Meenal Srinivasan in 2009. It runs a 21st century pilot
school at Saibabapath Mumbai Public School
(SBPMPS), Lalbaug, Parel in partnership with
Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM)
under their School Support Programme. It parallelly
works on developing relevant and replicable teaching-
learning practices to improve student learning outcomes.
These are shared with the municipal school teachers
through teacher training to improve the delivery of
education in these schools.
About
Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) was founded as a part
of Kotak Mahindra Group’s vision to positively contribute
to enhance student learning outcomes and the economic
and social wellbeing of the beneficiaries. It was established
in 2007 with a single-point focus on uplifting children and
youth from underprivileged communities through
education, healthcare and livelihood programs. Over the
years through our holistic approach to make our
beneficiaries future ready, KEF has been successfully able
to help the urban poor break free from the vicious cycle of
poverty and generational disadvantages.
