The Canakkale Research & Technology Park (CRTP) is a 134,000 square meter for-profit organization that rents land and office space to companies for research and development purposes. Its primary goals are to promote science, technology, and innovation in the region through collaboration between the local university, industry, and government. Running research in the park provides tax exemptions and incentives to tenant companies. CRTP aims to create a hub for collaboration between industry and the university's 1,500 faculty members and also benefits from lower costs than other technology parks in Turkey.

 The primary goal of our park is to promote Science &
Technology development in the region following
cooperation between COMU, the industrial sector and
administrative sector,
 To pave the way for the creation of small and medium
enterprises with technologically innovative features.
 Promote high tech production in the Park and in the
city

free income
According to the law 4691 companies running research
or developing products or software in Canakkale
Research &Technology Park are exempt from Income
tax
 Corporate tax
 Some software are also exempt from VAT
 No taxes are paid for any of the R&D staff.

5. Advantages
 The companies on campus do not pay any taxes for the
support staff but percentage of the support staff may
not be more than 10 per cent.
 Half of the retirement funds of the R&D staff are paid
by the Ministry of Finance for 5 years.
 Foreign companies and foreign R&D staff can work
within our Park.
 Increased export from the Park companies increases the
Park’s performance.

 We have a total of 134 000 square meters of land.
 Open to development and renting land (1 TL per square
meter)
 Larger than other parks, which are 5 000 - 10 000 square
meters on average
 ÇOMÜ has 1500 faculty members who are hungry for
collaboration with industry.
 Compared to older tech parks which already used up all
interested faculty, this is a great advantage.
 Our place is in between the University and the Organized
Industrial Zone

 Our rent rate is 11 TL per square meter
 Other parks rent at least 18 TL, many of them rent with
dollars or Euros.
 Common expenses such as water, safety etc. is less
than other parks
 We have a water well, so no water bill
 We are engulfed in the university campus with its own
security, and it is in an ex-military zone, eliminating
security expenses.

 The CEO is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akin Pala and the COO is
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akbulut.

Prof. Dr. Zeki Karaca, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmut
Sinecen.
 In addition to our headquarters, we plan to have a
Technology Transfer Center and an Incubator.

Triangle Park, and within five years, we intend to
establish a presence and strengthen our ties with RTP.
