The Crow, also known as the Apsáalooke, are a Native American tribe who historically lived in the Yellowstone River valley, which spans present-day Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota. The Crow had traditional gender roles regarding clothing. Men wore shirts, leggings, robes, and moccasins with long hair, while women wore dresses made of skins and braided their hair. The Crow relied on buffalo hunting and would drive buffalo off cliffs as a communal method of procuring meat until the introduction of modern weapons in the 1870s.
