The Aquino Administration have already put up projects that benefitted by many Filipino
people. The Philippines, according to Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)
president Miguel B. Varela, has been one of the good performing economy in Asia. Only that the
challenge on how to sustain this development is one of the endeavors that the administration
should give focus to. It is expected that the president will include those economic reforms in his
priorities as he continue to struggle towards the success of the Philippine Economy in relation to
the benefit of the Filipino people.

A. Causes of the problem
1. There is no certain economic reforms that enables the country to sustain its
robust economic performance.
2. There is lack of quality transportation infrastructure and the adaptation of
national transportation plan has not yet been implemented.
3. The reform of the Bureau of Customs to reduce smuggling has not been worked
out.
B. Impact on lives
This has a great impact on the lives of each Filipino because partly, the
government has to do something to help its people become progressive in any means or

not felt by each one of us. Why? It is because there is a need for reform in the economy
so that the people could benefit.
C. Impact on livelihood
If there will be reforms in the economic system, many business opportunities may
come that even those who did not graduate college can avail the service

1. The president should be aware of the issues pertaining to the economy.

be objective so that the outcome of the decision could, if not solve, lessen the problems in
