Methylamphetamine, also known as meth, is a highly addictive drug that poses significant health risks. It is often manufactured in illegal drug labs located in residential properties like rental houses. These clandestine labs expose the community, especially children, to toxic chemicals. Last year there were over 600 drug labs found nationwide in Australia, with nearly 300 located in Queensland. Central Pallor Methylamphetamine raises blood pressure and increases pulse rate. This in turn, constricts the blood vessels at the skin's surface and leads to pale and gaunt complexion.

Formication is an advanced form of Methylamphetamine-induced hallucination during which the abuser feels bugs on/under his skin. The individual scratches at the "bugs," trying to remove them, but instead the abuser gouges the skin, leaving scars. Open sores indicate recent Methylamphetamine use.
